Jefferson County's small business community, not the government is the engine that drives our economy. As a small business owner and entrepreneur, I am a strong voice for small businesses and work diligently to reduce regulations and taxes in order to strengthen free enterprise opportunities. I continue to look for solutions that will create more jobs and increase the number and quality of career paths available to our children right here in Jefferson County. It is only through small business and the private sector that we can begin to create desperately needed jobs and careers for all Coloradans.
I bring a principled approach to our county’s spending. If a government program is not doing what it was created to do, if it is not meeting its goals and serving taxpayers, it shouldn’t be rewarded with more tax dollars. Coloradan’s have a right to know how politicians are spending their money. This means that for our government to work it needs to be held accountable and no one is better equipped to do that than those footing the bill – county taxpayers. I will continue to fight for more transparency, less spending and less government in our daily lives.
County Commissioners have few greater nor more important tasks than protecting our right to private property. I believe that private property rights are one of the core values that makes America great. I will continue to fight for and insure the property rights of all Jefferson County citizens.
As a life-long resident of Jefferson County, I value and appreciate why so many Coloradans call this county home. The natural beauty of our county is an essential part of our community and one of the key reasons that we will attract new families and businesses in the future. Finding that crucial balance between development and preservation is one of the most important objectives that county commissioners must achieve.
